Five 2010 Phone releases we relish thinking of

With all the hype that’s packing the market, especially with some great flagship releases from some big names, we will pretty much be blown over the top of our patience levels. Here are some of the best projected phone releases for the year 2010, handpicked from the complete list at electricpig.com. Let’s take them down one at a time.
5. Palm Pre 2

There isn’t much we can doubt as to the anticipation that’s building as far as the release of the Palm Pre 2 is concerned. This worthy sequel of the original version will have a multitude of goodies all packed into one complete package that will target more than the utility-hungry users. It will work on the Ace webOS and will come with interesting features such as 8GB memory and a firmer build.

4. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10

We have been fussing about the XPERIA X10 for a while now. Hence the novelty is wearing off soon enough. We can, however, expect this one to be the first one to make it into the market (from all the phones enlisted here). The Android handset is sure to be favored by the younger realm of phone users who prefer social networking, massive screens and some hefty features that they’re daddies can pay for.

3. BlackBerry Storm 3

Surely among the most successful cellphone brands around, RIM have played all their cards well enough to be the only name in the market that’s given Apple a run for their money. The Storm 3 will be highly anticipated, with features like a sliding QWERTY, probably making it to the spec sheet.

2. Nokia N87

Nokia is stepping into the world of 12 megapixel camera phones with the N87. The phone will come as a head-on crack-in-the-skull when held up against giants like the Satio from SE and Samsung’s Pixon. Go Nokia!

1. iPhone 4G

Well, hate them or love them, we’re going to have iPhones pouring in all over us in regular time intervals. As the name suggests, the 4G rendition of the same will however be more than an under-the-hood tweak baby. It will have a whole new look. Maybe the guys at Apple finally decided to give us something more than rounded corners.
